We often upload a lot of photos and videos on Facebook, which are not stored online separately. So they have no backup. If the Facebook server goes down suddenly or there is a problem with the Facebook account, those pictures and videos may be lost.

You may also want to keep a backup of all the photos and videos you have uploaded to Facebook. So far it has not been possible. From now on you can get this backup in just a few clicks.

The tool for transferring user-uploaded photos and videos to Google Photos was piloted on Facebook last year. Earlier this year, the feature was launched in some countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Africa.

Now the feature is open to all Facebook users in the world. The desktop version of Facebook or the mobile app, both platforms can be used to transfer photos to Google Photos feature.
